Cupa Mundial

Well we are down to only 11 hours until Mexico opens the world cup and wins the first game . But I thought I would post quickly before I head to bed . Not that I dont have a bunch of posts to still write , this is happening in the moment so I thought this was more important . I will update soon of the event that will unfold tomorrow , but here is the set up .

Who: Meira and Nora, my intern from last semester turned friend.
What: Viewing of the first world cup game. Mexico vs. South Africa
When: June 11, 2010  9am
Where: Cuernavaca Zocalo.( AKA town center)

They are setting up a GIANT screen and are going to broadcast the game . It is going to be one rocking experience with at least 1,000 of my closest friends.
Even the Secretary of Education or what ever it is called here in Mexico. The one who works in Mexico City and is part of the president cabinet , said that school across the nation should allow their students and be excused from classes to be able to watch the game. That is coming from the top of the government. I think it is crazy awesome. And it also shows how big and popular  soccer/futbol is here in Mexico if kids are begin excused from classes to watch the game at school.
It is a once in a lifetime opportunity  to be able to watch the first game of the world cup with your country playing in the game . Yes I consider Mexico my country. I live here so it is my country. For me it is even more amazing that I am in mexico and they are playing in the first game of the world cup and it is even ore special that I am actually in Mexico during a world cup year.

That is all for now . I just wanted to set up the scene for everyone for tomorrow. For people who dont do sports , AKA my mother, and dont know any better , people who love sports , AKA people like me,  this is a big deal and this next month is bigger then the super bowl. Well here in MExico tomorrow's game is bigger then the superbowl. It is going to be off the charts amazing.Dont worry I will be documenting the event with my trusty camera.

Buenos Suerte Mexico.
